Morelia, Mich. – El representativo de Mantarrayas y Ranas con el apoyo de clubes de la ciudad e interior del estado, conquistaron el segundo lugar por equipos, dentro del Campeonato Nacional de Invierno Curso Corto Morelia 2024, tras ganar 18 de oro, 20 de plata y 23 de bronce en total. El primer sitio fue para Jalisco y tercero Guanajuato.
Esta competencia organizada por la Asociación Michoacana de Natación (AMN), bajo el respaldo de la Federación Mexicana y desde luego, de la administración municipal encabezada por el Presidente, Alfonso Martínez Alcázar, vía el Instituto Municipal de Cultura Física y Deporte (Imcude), tuvo como escenarios las albercas Morelos-INDECO y «Medallistas Paralímpicos) del 17 al 21 del presente mes.
«Nos quedamos cerca de obtener el primer lugar por equipos, pero estamos contentos por la realización de este evento en Morelia. La verdad como equipo pusimos todo lo que estaba de nuestra parte en pruebas individual y en Relevos, pero al final se llevó Jalisco el primer lugar», destacó el entrenador de Mantarrayas, Napoleón Núñez Sánchez.
Mantarrayas y Ranas IMCUFIDE con el apoyo de clubes de Morelia y el estado, obtuvo 61 preseas, de las cuales fueron: 18 de oro, 20 de plata y 23 de bronce, siendo el primer lugar para el representativo de Jalisco y tercero para Guanajuato. En el último día de actividades las academias de Miguel Moreno y Napoleón Núñez lograron 3 de oro, 5 de plata y 3 de bronce.
En el Campeonato Nacional de Invierno Curso Corto Morelia 2024 participaron alrededor de 650 sirenas y tritones provenientes de 25 asociaciones de la República Mexicana, además del Instituto Mexicano del Seguro Social (IMSS) e Instituto de los Mexicanos en el Exterior (IME).
